Romanian Poems-Translate

                                                                                 Dragostea mea
                                                                                                         Magda Isanos

Eu stiu ca tu nu meriti dragostea
si-mi place totusi sa ti-o daruiesc;
dar parca bolta merita vreo stea,
si totusi câte-ntr-însa s-oglindesc…

Nu meriti iarasi clipele de-acum
si gândurile bune câte ti le-am dat,
dar parca merita noroiul de pe drum
petalele ce peste el s-au scuturat?

Iubirea însa e ca soarele,
care ramâne pururea curat
si dupa ce milos i-a sarutat
leprosului, pe ulita, picioarele…

Magda Isanos-Daruri
Tu esti în inima mea ca un dar
neasteptat si mult prea scump,
pe care
il cercetez mirata iar si iar,
cu-aceeasi nesecata desfatare.

Esti
tainica-mi putere si mandrie,
de când te stiu mi-i cerul mai aproape
si
nu mai pot durerile să vie,
să-mi tulbure-ale sufletului
ape.Tu mi-ai facut tarana mai usoara
si inima asa de dulce, grea,
ca
ramura ce toamna se-mpovara
de greutatea roadei de pe ea.
Asemeni unui
mare cer cu stele,
mi te-ai rasfrant în suflet ca-ntr-un lac,
si-adanci
de-atuncea-s gandurile mele,
de aur glodul inimii, sarac.
Acestea toate
să ti le platesc
nu voi putea, ci lasa-mă macar,
risipitorul
meu, să te iubesc,
din darurile tale dandu-ti dar.

May I go out to play?
The sun is bright, the air is clear;
Oh, mother, don't say no!"

"Go for, my son," the mother said.
The aunt said, "Take your

But do not lose your way."
"Ah, no," he cried, and saw the street
With
heart so full of glee--
The weather changed--and snow and sleet
And rain, fell steadily.
Through snowdrifts great, through
watery pool,
He flew with mite and main--
Said he, "Though I would walk by rule,
I am not right, 't is
plain."
"I'd like to meet some kindly soul,
For hear new dangers wade,
And yonder stairs a
trickrous hole--
Too slow has been my gate.

"A piece of bread, a nice hot steak,
I'd choose if I were home,
This crewel fate my hart will
break,
I love not those to room.
"I'm week and pale, I've missed my road,"
But here a carte came past,
He and his sleigh were safely now
Back to his home at last.
